H&R Sport Springs with Stock Shocks

Was wondering how long my shocks will last, i've looked around on other forums some say their shocks lasted for a while, some say 3-4 months into the springs they had decided to change their shocks, mines a XI so the front is not gonna be too low, and has about 132k miles on it. Should I buy the springs now then in the next few months buy some Konis? Or go ahead with the springs only? Also decided to lower it before putting new rims and tires on it. Thanks for anyone giving their two cents. 👍

I had the same H&R springs and was told i have about 10k miles left on the stock shocks. After about 8k miles on the stock shocks the ride lowered a bit and they started giving out making the ride uncomfortable. I threw on KONI FSD shocks after and the ride was a bit more comfy but im still looking to make it more comfortable.

Did you install the springs yourself?

At 132K miles, you need to replace your shocks, strut mounts, bumpstops, spring pads, and all the other wear and tear components. Do it once, do it right.

You won't get too much mileage on your stock shocks with having 132K miles on them and lowering it.

If you dont mind doing work twice you can wait but otherwise they will fail sooner then later for sure.

You likely have other worn components as at that mileage lots of things are likely very worn.

A lot of guys replace the spring mounts and top mounts even earlier then 132K miles.

my top mounts looked fine, and just needed some grease at 110k. I discovered my front struts were already leaking when I pulled them off though, so I get to do it twice, since I didn't do it right the first time :P
