Feedback Please!!

Hey SA Beemer Nutz

The styling market in SA seems to be growing, but there is still not much available for the e90. Carbon Fibre look vinyl is something I see more frequently, but is not even close to the real deal.

I've recently been across to Germany and have come across a technology that I am bringing to SA and I'd like to get some input / feedback from you.

Have a look at the before / after pics attached - Your response would be appreciated.

1. Is this something you would consider doing if it were available in SA?
2. Using a process that would ensure OEM fit, and not affect Motorplan, what would you expect to pay to have your car interior / engine bay redone in Carbon Fibre look?
Under R2500 
R2501-R5000 
R5001-R10000 
R10001 or more 

Let me know.

Thanks

We already have the 3m dinoc stuff in gloss and matt... so what's different about this?

3m required for e92 interior is way under the R2500 lower limit you have set

You have to remember, you are not selling REAL carbon fiber, so it will have to be much cheaper

Also, we already sell engine bay kits in real carbon fiber

The results in the pictures looks very impressive!!

As for the price, personally speaking, for something that was not the real deal, I would not want to pay more than R1000-R1500 for an interior wrap.

Good luck with your business venture and I wish you all the best in bringing more styling to South Africa.

Hi

The key difference is that vinyl can be peeled off - this process is durable, permanent, and looks a whole lot better than vinyl. Also the pricing guidlines I set were not to establish a pricing structure, but rather to gauge what the guys would pay for this as opposed to vinyl, and whether there is a market for me out there - primary market research!

I am busy with actual costings as we speak and initial calcs are pretty reasonable.

This looks like the process called "hydro dipping"...is there any place in SA that can do hydro dipping? In KZN?
