Long start + hpfp codes
I have been getting random longer than normal starts after the car has been sitting overnight. After driving and checking the codes I usually have 3 or 4 codes related to HPFP. 3 of them are shadow codes and the other one is not. I did research on them and most people say not to worry about them.
I replaced all 6 injectors a little over 1 year ago so I hope those are not the issue. The car has 130k and as far as I can tell it has the original HPFP. Other than logging, any other way to check to see if it is the HPFP? Or does it just sound like thats the issue considering the miles? Thanks. |

Some of the codes I get are:
2AAE 2FCA 29F4 29F5 These 2 are cat converter shadow codes which may be from the hi-flow downpipes? And I can't remember but I think these 2 codes as well... 2FDA 2FDB |

I just had mine replaced, the only code it ever threw was 2AAF, but it wreaked havoc on my poor car, killing spark plugs, throwing limp codes and misfires, even vacuum faults. Was a pain to figure out. What's weird is that I never had the long starts that everyone talked about. But in the end it was a shot in the dark, and I'd also replaced everything else I could think of. But now I just bought MHD monitoring for $70 - wish I'd had it back then!
