Options for a DSP
Hey guys, been a while.
To reiterate, I'm running a PDX-v9 with a pair of morel hybrids, jehnerts, and a ID 15''. Not sure I am comprehending the whole DSP discussion correctly. Are there any options of adding a DSP to my existing setup? Instead of replacing the PDX with the lower power of a helix or something? I don't want to lose the watts going to the underseats or 15''. What are my options? |

Yes there are many stand alone DSP's that can be added between
your Head Unit and amps. In fact this was the only way you could get them when they first came out. A lot of amp only companys are making them these days. The most common one used here is the Helix currently. It has a larger user base so you may be able to find a user group to help you with tuning or a canned tune. Also Helix makes a couple of very powerful amp/dsp combo's like the Dsp 6 (6 channels 110 watts )and the v8(8 channels 75 watts) some of these have extra dsp only channels for running a sub or whatever extra amps you have. If you are shopping for one you want one that has enough channels for every amplifier channel you intend using or are currently using. Last edited by ctuna; 05-11-2017 at 01:57 PM.. |

pity you are so far from me - I have a Alpine PXA-H100 imprint processor modified for stand-alone use.
It is a solid solution for just the set-up you are running ![]() Anyway - If you are happy with the amp, then go for a Audison, Mosconi or Helix DSP. Even the prior generations (used) can be good solutions. //Chris Quote:

I have been running the Helix DSP for a few years now. Highly recommended.
