I-pod interface question

I have recently had the i-pod interface installed in my car. The car has i-drive.

Up until today, the playlist I have been listening to was was to random and worked fine. It has today stopped.

The only thing I have done recently was to update the software on my i-pod.

Does anyone have any ideas?

What has stopped??

The iPod playing any song at all, or just the randomness of the songs??

Is this the Dension Gateway 500 or some other interface?
