BMW Performance Power Kit N54 version question for Owners
Has anyone here installed the PPK (software only version) on their N54 based 135i or 335i/xi using part number:
11 12 2 219 488 This is for an N54 vehicle with an MSD81 DME only (production date from 03/2008 specifically) I am trying to develop a way to unlock the individual “Release Code” so that we can all program this PPK software into our N54 cars without having to buy it from the dealer, the same way that this has been unlocked for N55 cars already (using WinKFP and NCSexpert) Thank you NOTE: This thread has been cross posted in the 1 Series forum as well |

No not at all (I'm not that talented).
I just want to try to duplicate what has already been unlocked for the N55 in terms of being able to install the PPK for free, as per this forum post here: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31885 If this post is inappropriate in any way, please feel free to remove it. My apologies. |

MHD only costs ($240 for the N54/ with OTS maps): Flasher $100, Maps $50, Digiland tablet $50, Cable and adapter $40
What I should've asked: Is it worth your time and effort to pursue a homebrew that might have some of the abilities of Stage 1 ? Would others take the chance on a homebrew/jail break flash, when MHD (for the N54) has a proven track record and costs less than $250 ?

I'm specifically interested in being able to flash only the original/authentic BMW PPK software (via BMW's own ISTA/P Dealership level programming software) and no other make shift flashing solution such as MHD. Hence my curiosity in figuring this out.
If I could find someone who's had it installed on their car (with the above specifics), I should be able to reverse engineer the codes that were used on that person's car to unlock this mystery. I'm willing to devote the time/energy. It's only mine to lose. |
