Hill hold assist
I know this is standard spec on 6 cylinder cars, but can it be coded/added to 4 cylinder?
I've tried googling and cannot find anything about the subject. I don't struggle with hill starts but it was a nice little feature on my old 330d, so would be nice to add to my new 320d if possible. |

Strange. I live on a very steep hill, with a single track road.
I generally reverse into my drive. Noticed on my wife's Fabia DSG and on my F*at Doblo that the Hill Hold was operating. Must have had the 335 for over 2 years before it engaged !! |

For anyone interested, I've found out that the 4 pot ABS unit is different to the 6 pot and that is why it doesn't have it

Yes it should, are you sure you are using it correctly?
Pull up on a hill and keep your foot on the brake, with the hand brake off. Now take your foot off the brake and it should not roll away for 3 or 4 seconds |

If a manual, the car will need to be in gear. (Clutch depressed).
