Hammond is airlifted to hospital after flipping £2million supercar.

Man, I hope he's ok. I remember what happened to him in 2006. This guy must have nine lives. Will probably delay the start of the new season. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Criminal to have an ELECTRIC supercar that turns into a fireball like this. For 2 million a decent fuel cell seems reasonable, especially if it is one of those puny 'booster motor' setups that only hold 5-10gal.

I read somewhere that he fractured his left knee. This may mean he may only be able to drive automatic/ DSG/ DCT from now on... hope that's not true.

Sad business. Think it's time for him to stop driving super cars to their limit. Not worth the health risks clearly.

Okay, gas cars catching fire, make sense, electric car catching fire a bit more scary. We have seen far worse ICE cars accidents that did not end up with the car melting down into a ball of plastic.

I did not know Hammond also wrecked in a jet engine dragster at 288 MHP and almost died back in 2006. The guy who designed the dragster said after Hammond crashed he was going to stop building jet power cars since they were too dangerous and would begin working on electric cars, little did he know.
