Conti Extremecontact DWS being phased out?
Tire Rack has them on closeout -- the new version appears to be the Extremecontact DWS 06. Anyone know the difference?

I'm not sure the difference between the older DSW and the updated 06 versions.
We've been running the DWS 06's on our X5 since May 2016. We've put roughly 30k miles on them and they've been great. All three letters are completely visible and the tires look like new. I highly recommend these tires to anyone looking for a good, all season tire! |

I have Pirelli run flats on the 335d. I just bought two rears as the fronts are basically new but rears won't pass inspection
I was going to buy the DWS' for the 335d but, tire rack had pirelli's for the rear on closeout for 107. So, I figured I'd save some coin and just buy new rears this time. I'll put DWS' on the 335d when I need tires again. FYI- the X5's are also known for eating up rear tires... after 30k we're not experiencing any wear issues. |

AFAIK, it's just a newer improved version of the original DWS.
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests...y.jsp?ttid=199 I've been running the DWS 06 for the last year and it's performed excellently (at least compared to the stock run flats). Ratings across the board are fairly high too. |
