So i sold a phone....
Hi all,
im a little puzzled. i have a HTC One A9 which i got as a replacement phone through my phone insurance when i broke the screen on my HTC one M8. So ive recently upgraded to a new phone so thought id sell the HTC One A9 i was unsure if it was locked to vodafone (my carrier) so i put the wifes EE sim in and it worked perfectly fine so that to me was confirmation it was unlocked to all networks. however the guy who bought it said that it doesnt work and he doesnt get any 3G signal something which he said was to do with a partial blockage on the phone preventing the 3 network from accessing 3G?? does any of this sound legit or is he having me on? |

There used to be an issue with phones that when they were unlocked people used to list them as unlocked for any network except '3' but didn't realise that was still the case? Sure someone on here will pipe up with the correct answer.

Doesn't sound too legit to me. If the ee sim worked no reason why the 3 sim wont. Ask for proof, get him to send you a photo. Did you take note of your phone's serial number?
If he's trying to make up a reason to return the phone or to stitch you up with a broken phone, make sure to check the serial number of the phone. If he wants to return it ask him for a photo of the serial number before he sends it back and then check it's actually your phone. |
