But does it sound good or make power? You can get a good universal muffler for under $100 so I have a hard time understanding the appeal of something like this...

Probably not the best idea. Depending on where that sits under the car (if that is at the down pipe to the muffler set - then just about right under the front passengers) you could get CO (Carbon Monoxide) leaking up into the passenger cabin and making you sick, sleepy / pass out while driving and crash or just kill you if you idle someplace a long time and let the passenger compartment fill up with CO. While unlikely to happen (especially if your cat is still in place and converting CO to CO2 which is less hazardous) it still in a poor idea from a safety / technical perspective - not to mention its a pretty ghetto mod...

poor performance. i had gaskets leaking from dp in that spot. Sounded like fecal matter and felt as if the car was heat soaked 24/7. not to mention possibly burning the undershield.

I hope this is a joke.
It will just sound like you have a giant exhaust leak. Like the guy down the street who drilled a bunch of holes in his muffler for "performance". This thread is worthless without videos of you running stop signs in your neighborhood though.
