i switched to summer performance tires last year for my 335d but didn't keep the runflats, now i want to get "one spare with rim 18 inch" as a backup before going on longer trips. Anything would do )

I use an OEM 17" steel rim with a 205/50/17 tire, which is the OE rolling diameter. It barely squeezes by my 335i front calipers. This setup is beneficial in 2 ways:
1) It's 10lbs lighter than my OE 18" alloy setup which makes it less of a chore when clearing out trunk space for big items,
2) It takes up less trunk space so I can pack in more stuff above it.

If you're interested, I can either sell you my existing spare setup ($100) or just a bare steel rim ($50) and you can source your own tire.
