how to track money orders?
anyone here ever send a money order? who did you send it through? and did they provide a tracking number?
sorry for the questions but reason im asking is because i went to the post office the other day and they just send the money orders like regular mail (just in an envelope, no tracking number or anything ) so i was wondering if there were any other companies to go through that can provide tracking details. i wouldnt want to send one and get scammed, saying they never got it . |

There might be a phone number on the receipt of your money order. Otherwise, contact the seller (bank institution) who issued the money order.

I think if you have the carbon copy receipt of the MO, you can call the place you bought it and have it tracked.

there's a number on it which allows customer service to check whether it was cashed or not. you can also use that number to file missing/stolen claims but as far as where its physically at, no chance.
money order's are just like a personal check but a little safer because it doesn't have your bank account information printed on it.

Same goes for bank check. May cost more, but it's more "official". You'll get a receipt with the check and detach the actual check and send it to the person while you keep the stub. You can even call and do a stop payment on that check if you think it's lost and get a new one reissued as long as the check is still outstanding. |

You didn't send $265 for a puppy to some guys in Cameroun, even though they say they are in Washington State, and didn't call them on their satellite phone which they say is their home number, with a picture of a nice olderly couple listed as the owners, did you?
And you didn't send a second $500 security deposit to the transit company as insurance, also to Cameroun, even though they say they are a French Airline, transferring your puppy from Washington State, did you? Because my neice did , and now she wants me to help her get it back |
