Had the pleasure of attending the annual Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack this past Saturday. Very awesome people, unique rides, and one helluva record-breaking GTR. So as my 100th contribution to Bimmerpost, I wanted to share some photos of the festivities with a few non-BMW goodies included.

That fake depth of field is awful.
It's on the level of the horrid HDR realtors use.

To be honest I was very surprised to see that. I think the driver did it in between runs, but still...

Yeah I think there are a few videos of it but here's the first comprehensive one I found it. I was at the end of the run for the first pass and the sound was unmistakably different than any other run I had heard all day.

Honestly I would imagine it to be fine. The metal wouldn't cool fast enough to cause any sort of damage. The only thing I'd worry about is the plastic bag melting into any of the parts but it doesn't seem that was happening.
