Remove bumpstop from coilovers?

I put coilovers on my 2009 335xi E90. I lowered the car to remove the 3-4 inch wheel gap and I am on 19" wheels. However when hitting some of the bumps up here in Maryland I feel like the shock is being compressed all the way and not absorbing the hard ones. I read somewhere that people removed the bumpstop which is about 2 inches thick and gave them more shock to play with. I am going to raise the car up another inch because the springs are settling and it has dropped, but I was checking to see if this would be bad to remove?

Thanks.

Which coils? Spring rates? Ride height? Gave us nothing to work with. It's probably not the bump stop's fault, nor a good idea to remove them like the previous post mentioned.

I don't think it is a good idea to remove them either, but I have read stories where people have removed them on various coilovers and didn't have issues.

The coilovers are BC. I am not sure of the spring rates on these.

They are the normal ones that come on it. I never touched them. If I remember right they are about 2 inches thick which is why I thought if I removed them I could gain 2 inches of shock travel.
