Ipod question
I know this is dumb, but maybe one of you are smarter than I. I was wondering (the people with idrive) where you guys put your ipod while it's playing? I can't figure out a good place so I can actually see it and such. It just flies around. I know it's stupid, but any idears?

I put it in the cubbyhole where your i-drive knob resides ... ... there must be (and waiting for) a better solution...hopefully soon.

It was kinda nice when I had a rental with the cubby hole.
I have had it in the cup holder but I can't read it easily. I'm saying somethign that is in plain view so I don't have to completely take my eyes away while driving. I tried to put is on the leather part of the shifter and the idrive button, didn't work too well |

I just put the ipod on one of these sticky pads and let it sit beneath the button of the parking brake in that little well -- the pad keeps the ipod in place and it's relatively easy to get to and change tracks.

Either buy a remote control, stick it on the handbrake, make some playlists and put the Ipod in the center console...
OR buy a Belkin Tunedok (You can find them on E-bay for like $40 tops, in black too if you have black interior) and stick it in the cupholder and put your Ipod in it. You'd also need either an Ipod cable like the Belkin one or the Monster one (or a pretty long Aux cable) and run it out of the glove box...Just slam the center console shut and it will close even if the wire is sticking out. Then PRESTO you can see your Ipod perfectly! |
