Worn rear shocks??

So I was replacing my rear upper shock mounts and when I compressed the shock with my hand to slide it out of the mounting point they never rebounded back up.....Please tell me that they are worn and I can justify getting new shocks and struts.

This is the set I am looking at. Any other suggestions for cross use of daily driving and AutoX? I have the M-Sport suspension BTW.

If the shock will not rebound, it is usually shot. The Bilstein's are a great choice, but I recommend B8s with factory sport springs. If your suspension is old, consider getting a fully-assembled kit that replaces your shocks and all the wear and tear items so you do it once, do it right. Here is what that kit looks like:

Do springs really wear out? It would be easier getting a fully assembled kit but I just can't see them wearing out. I am planning on replacing all of the mounting rubber when I do them as well.

Also, on Turners website it says the B8 is only for use with lowering springs and not for use with stock springs either normal or sport that is why I chose the B6. I do have a girlfriend that I need to keep happy as well!

B8s are the recommended shock for factory sport package. B6s will work, however, your ride height will be slightly higher.

Would you happen to know factory sport ride height? I have looked all over and come up with mixed results.
