Yes, the adaptions have been reset, although I can do that myself anyway, no error codes or information messages logged either as I checked.

I'm also near Burnley BTW

I had my box oil done about 500 miles ago now , pleased to say it hadn't lost much of any fluid , sump hadn't been leaking , cost me £400 with the gen zf full kit (sleeve sump bolts fluid plug) , oil that came out wasn't burnt smelling nor where there any chunks of metal or clutch , fluid was black tho, refilled and adaptions reset , car is nicer to drive , not by a great deal tbh but I never thought it was overly bad , been running about in my dads f30 and the 8 speed zf box in it blows our box clean out the water lol ! It's lovely ! My car was 75k when I got this done

Seems really reasonable Rich and they are literally round the corner from me. Do you think they would be able to remap the box so it changes quicker when in manual mode?

It should only change down if the revs drop too low, mine holds in gear unless you slow right down to the point where it's too slow for that gear and you'd need to change yourself anyway

Yep, that is exactly how mine behaves, but if i change down and box decides to change down at the same time, i drop 2 gears in a second, not ideal.

bringing up an old post but i think it stays on the topic of transmission fluid change...

has anyone used a fluid extractor (like the motive) to 'pull' all the fluid out to get a proper change including all the oil that sits in other place besides the transmission oil pan. full oil change appears to use approx 10 litres and I see that most people change out about 6 litres of oil even with leaving the oil to drip out slowly (overnight in some cases).

any experience here?

also I've ready about people getting the ZF kit from euro car parts but can only find copies on there website, anyone got the real ZF kit and got the product number for it?

From other car flushes, I've seen people unhook the cooler line and flush that way... till clear fluid comes out but it's expensive!

Euro's do the genuine service kit ZF part number 1071.298.040 009 (we're doing a 325d today) euro's number 504 11 058K(info based on the car being an E9X diesel variant hope this helps
