JB4/MHD

I have been contemplating doing the MHD JB4 BEF. However, due to nature that I have never update my jb4 since I bought it which was over 3 years ago would it be in my best interest to update it before doing MHD BEF. Also, if I need to update how do which software upgrade I need?

I know I have to connect the laptop to it but do I need a software to pull that info up

I have the G4 jb4 even though it's the G4 and basically all the updates are stated for G5 can I still download it and install?

G4 was obsoleted in 2012 so upgrade to a G5 board. If you load any G5 updates on the G4 it will be non-operational.
