More Power please ;-)

Having got the 320d now i felt it only rude not too have a play with the power, 1st car ive eva had where gains can be made.

After hours and hours of research and the big question 'remap vs tuning box' i came up with my decision

I have a friend who works for thurlby motors (producers of the astra 888's and T9's) who did me a fantastic deal on a tuning box, that made my decision for me.

installed it today and yea what a mod.

Stats are stated at being 177bhp now 212bhp 350Nm now 430Nm

we tried the two verions of the box's they do and the different power settings and settled for one in the end that suited me and the car, left the maps as they are.

Result:

The car is not a 320d turned into an M3 you have to be realistic, but by god you can notice the difference it is noticiable quicker, although the power stays smoother so it not push ya back in ya seat silly, 60mph 80 mph 100mph are now reached sooo much quicker and easier and is now fun to drive.

if the 3.20d is the same engine as in the 1.20d i know how well it goes tuned, i couldnt believe the difference a remap made to my old 1.20d. Sure the 3 series will be heavier and not as 'go-cart' ish , but i bet it still goes well
