How to fix a non-operating trunk light!

If you have a trunk light that is not working, try the following;

1. Check fuse #61 in the glove box
2. Check the bulb in the trunk light housing using a multimeter
3. If #1 and #2 are in working order, it's time to check the wiring (see attached pic as you read the items below)
4. With the trunk open, locate the rubber sleeve connecting the trunk lid with the car body
5. Peel the rubber grommets away from the car to expose the wiring
6. Slide the rubber sleeve up and down to expose all lengths of wiring.
7. At this point, you should have found a broken wire (or several).
8. Repair the wires as noted in the diagram. Enjoy.
