Okay even funnier, but I rather like it more when it was someone being an idiot.

It is just another example of our news media having no clue, they did not do a single ounce of investigation. How many time does the new have to be scammed before they learn never to trust anything you see on the internet.

There is no way one can authenticate the ingenuity of such videos. It was a deliberate effort to prank the whole world. And they succeeded. Any viral video is supposed to be taken without much reservations.

It was funny for sure and wouldn't have picked up if not for Miley Cyrus' VMA gimmick.

I didn't knew what twerking was until a bunch of school kids posted a video of jerking their hips upside-down against a wall. I felt that was disgusting. But again, they had their 15mins of fame. And we moved on until VMA came. Just when it was about to die, this. There will be more to this... Till then enjoy!

There are really no good sources of news any more. NPR probably has the least amount of celebrity crap, but even they have more fluff than substance. I've defaulted to Google news with as many inputs as possible. At least I can pick and choose what to read and take the source into account while doing so.

CNN used to be the gold standard for news. Now the initials stand for Celebrity News Network.

Actually not that hard to verify, she even said a few people tried to get an interview, but she refused. First clue that something was up. The media these days are so afraid not being the first to air something, let alone being real news or factual is not important.

I keep saying this that the internet if show and tell for idiots and the media plays right into it why do you think the idiots keep doing this stuff. Jimmy was just proving a point, this is actually no different than what Howard Stern crews us to pull back in the 80's and 90's faking the media into believing stupid things.
