Anyone have SafeCo?

Do you have SafeCo for home insurance? If so, how are they? Seems cheaper than other companies and is part of Liberty Mutual. Ratings seem pretty average.

We've had them for several years. Luckily, we haven't had to make a claim but their rates are pretty damn good.

Many reviews say that it's good in general. But if you need to make a claim it takes a long time and is a bit difficult. That kind of defeats the yrpise IMo.

Had them but switched a few years back. Never had to file a claim so I can't speak to that process.

What was the reason for switching?

Had them and filed a claim when my house had damage from a tornado. They wanted to roof half of my house instead of doing a proper roof job. They caved and paid for a whole roof more than likely this was because they were one of many insurance companies that were receiving claims and didn't want to get a bad image. They did however stick to their guns about just painting half the house. I would rate them average at best and have since switched companies.

Simply that I found something cheaper. I was able to leverage a better rate by going with the same insurance company my HOA goes through.

We are with Safeco. Got hammered with hail this spring and they replaced our roof, lots of glass and patio stuff, even paid full book for my old E53 X5 4.6is. I'm now driving a free X5 and I think we pocketed some cash in the end. Claims process was effortless.

I used to have SafeCo auto insurance FWIW... Best prices I can find at the time for my Toyota.
