Front Upper Arms

Hi,

Just got my car back from a service at main dealer E91 335d, they have written on invoice that the front upper arms have sought play in them.

The car has done 60k and is a 10plate, can these be replaced easy enough and am I best going to the m3 items? Does the tracking need altering after this?

Thanks in advance!

They are pretty easy to replace. However, if you want the m3 arm, you'll need to get the upper arms and the lower arms.

You will need a geo after doing the work, yes

Thanks for the reply.

I've just re-read the invoice and it actually says upper rear control arm. Is there any advantage of adding a m3 item or just replacing like for like?

Thanks

upper rear control arm? So are we talking front of the car or rear now?
On the rear of the car, i wouldn't bother with the M bits. If you're doing the front of the car, do the M bits.

If you're going to swap out non-M bits for M bits, you need to do them all. The M arms are a different length to the non-M ones.
