Dodgy ebay seller

Hi everyone,
I want to give you a heads up of a dodgy UK bmw parts seller on ebay.

I ordered some boost solenoids as I think mine are getting tired.

I had the option of Pierburg's that sell for around £65 or Vemo's that sell for around £87.

I decided to get the more expensive Vemos as I'm running what are stage 3 turbos and 25 psi or more. So I did lots of searching on ebay for Vemo solenoids and found a vendor offering them at the best price.

First they told me they were out of stock and so I've waited a week longer than normal. Then they've sent me Vemo boxed solenoids but the contents inside are the cheaper Pierburgs. Details on the item states Vemo as the item info and manufacturer. They are clearly trying to pull a fast one. Now the cheaper Pierburg solenoids are probably up to the task but I've paid for the more expensive Vemo's. If I wanted the Pierburgs I could have got them for about £30 less than what I paid. They obviously think most people wont know the difference and they will have made a nice £30 for nothing.

The vendor calls themself 'kmspartsonline'

They have a website as well and they are based in Birmingham.

Here's the delivered items. One in bubble wrap. One not. I hope they aren't just pulled off a scrapped car and refurbished. Who knows. The box doesn't even look like a solenoid box but they've put stickers on the sides with the vemo item number that I ordered. Items were clearly just stuffed in the bottom of the boxes not to break the seal. Seems like a real cowboy operation

Yup, that is very dishonest!
Did you go back and tell them they are the wrong ones? or ask for the £30 back?

I've flagged it as item not as described and I'm sending it back.

I ordered VEMO's from the only other seller I could find and interestingly a week later they cancelled my order out of the blue. Saying out of stock or damaged. Very strange. I wonder if the first vendor contacted them and spread lies about me as the items are still listed as available.

So I've paid a bit more ordering online.
