Help needed please

So I'm confused I been doing a lot of research can't seem to find the problem.

I have a 1 series 135i 2011 with base audio stereo witch means no amp

Just 6 speakers
2 front
2 rear
And 2 small woofers under the seat

Now I tried adding a subwoofer today

So I added a amp

I got signal from the woofers under the seats
To a converter to my amp

Now my amp keeps going to protection mode once I put the volume up.

Is it that the signal is too power full for the amp ??

what the hell can it be ?

Does anybody know what wires are the ones I'm suppose to get signal from

I posted this on the 1 addicts but man lol is dead over there

I heard all the audio is basically the same so hopefully some one can help please

Does your amp take speaker level inputs?

see Technicpnp.com

maybe you need a Loc
but your base system will still sound like crap with
a big bass . You need to upgrade the rest to have it come close to keeping up with the sub.

Also since we know nothing of the specifics of the
system you put in its a little hard to guess what might be wrong. Did you use thick enough wires to the battery are your grounds good?
Is the amp getting hot?

So I figured it out

It was my battery being low

I guess jl audio is real picky about voltage

It needs to be higher than 13.4

but I just added a little small jl amp 500 watts

With a 12 jl audio w6 v3

I want to amp up my 4 cabin speakers but I have no idea how or what's the easiest way to do that

That amp should have no problem even with a low voltage
however if the battery is low the IBS system in the car will
start to turn stuff off.
Did you wire it in properly and are the gains set to a reasonable level.
You could be dropping voltage due to bad wiring or grounds.

Everything is properly wired

the amp hasn't turned off ever since I charged the battery

I was told I need a capacitor

My lights dim at very hard bass

and the voltage drops very bad and that's the reason why my amp kept going to protection mode
