N54 or N55 Xi
Hi guys,
So I was rear ended and my car is totaled. My car was a 2008 335xi. It happened after I had just replaced my suspension, valve cover gasket, spark plugs and 6 new ignition coil, new tires, breaks, rear wheel bearing, and new transfer-case. I didn't do all the work at once. In a period of 1.5 years but more than half almost done at once. The insurance company called and left a voicemail that I should call the total lost department. My first question is 1) How do I get my money back from all the work I just done to my car. Or is there anything that I can do if any? 2) I was lucky that BMW USA replaced 3 of my injectors about 3 years ago for free. I know the N54 have the injector, high fuel pressure and turbo problems, is the N55 any better? Should I buy a different N54 or N55? Are the N55 less of a headache? |

2) N55 is newer, never had HPFP problems, has single turbo. Not saying it's bulletproof, but most people say it's more trouble free. |
