SCR metering valve for WMI ?

OK, so why can't we just use the SCR metering valve for water/meth injection? unable to create an injection map for it ? or is the line pressure too low ?

nice thought!! I would think it doesn't atomize enough. it looks like it sprays more of a stream than a mist.. you might be able to try with more pressure??

the injectors on the big trucks don't need the hot swirl plate to atomize the spray...

... cause the 1st thought i had, when i watch the BMW's injector is "the atomization is crap"

We'll, next year I'll experiment with it and see what the difference between the oem valve and the hfs3's valve is. Cause it would be awesome if JR or other tuner could utilize oem equipment to control meth injection by upgrading the pump for the scr active tank (removing the heater of course)

nice!

you could install an injector that nebulizes at what ever pressure comes out of that hose.
it would just have to be strong enough to overcome boost pressure at the intake.

my two cents.

this seems like a lot of rigging and jigging when there are already systems out there that are made for the exact application you are trying to set up. just let that scr valve sit where it is now...... your shelf.

Assuming he means to move the valve to the intake somehow, it would be interesting if we could utilize the DEF tanks and pump for meth. All you would need is to run lines and fit a different nozzle?

I know meth doesn't play well with some pumps so that might be an issue.

No need to use the pumps inside the DEF tank for meth, mount a remote pump (Like what all the kits come with) and just use the DEF tank as your well.... tank. There are members that are running meth from the DEF tank. It makes the most sense, why put a tank in the trunk when you've got a perfectly good one installed from the factory?

Yup, IAKNOWN is and example of someone running DEF tanks for meth.
