Trunk lid light weird electrical issue
My trunk lid light is not working. It appears that when it comes on, then my electronic lid release stops working. I've had a hard time identifying the fuse although from what I read, the glove box and trunk lid light share the same fuse. But the glove box light is working.
One may not have anything to do w/ the other. However, this is what I have observed. Any ideas? Thx! |

the wires most like are severed.. theres a rubber sleeve at the top right corner of the trunk,.. although the rubber may not look damaged, the wires may be damaged inside. My plate light would come on when i opened the trunk and off when i closed it ..i ended up cutting the rubber wire sleeve and found a few busted wires inside.

Thanks! That was it. One wire that was both trunk light and release. Hot/cold and movement over time I guess. Odd nonetheless.
