diy walnut blast kit
Hi all.
Didn't get any response from the UK forum sadly so posting this here in hope! Recently completed diy wash/scrub of intake valves. Although the visual results weren't as good as some of the pics seen from other people online I and am very pleased with the performance increase I got. Didn't think that I would be saying it but was as many others have said the difference is 'night and day'. I got lazy with the clean because removing the dreaded electrical box cost me 2 hours and by the time I was on the last cylinder I was losing daylight fast. Anyways now that I know the process i'll be doing it again to see whether I can eek out any further smoothness but am looking to go the walnut blasting route for my next go. I already know what hopper I'll be using for the walnut grit and can pre fab a vacuum nozzle for the ports easily enough but am wondering if anyone can suggest the smallest air compressor that would be up to the job possibly from experience. Basically I don't want to have a big tank sat in my garage afterwards. Cheers |

I bought the harbor freight hopper and crushed walnut, got the bav auto plastic adapter, and got the bmw wand and it worked perfectly. I rigged up my own setup before and didn’t get as good as I did my 2nd time around. Hope this helps
