Coils stuck on plugs

So about a month ago now I decided to change my spark plugs to prep for MHD stage 2, downpipes, etc. I picked up dielectric grease at autozone for about 1$. I applied it to the inside of the rubber boot with my pinky.

Car kept having a weird idle especially with the AC on. Kept bouncing to what felt about 200 rpms up and down. And when in drive without gassing it had a stuttering crawl.

Today I try to remove the coils and all of them are like glued onto the porcelain. Ended up breaking one coil at the lower plastic part and the entire rubber part stayed over the plug. Finally got it out with pb blaster and a flat head after half an hour. New set already on the way but what did I do wrong? Cheaped out on the grease?

In all honesty i prefer zero lubricant on the threads and also nothing on the ceramic insulator or plug boots.

My guess is you put too much and some grease got onto the terminal tip as you slid the coil over it (it is a crooked bore remember?). That would cause the misfire.

Why the boots bonded to the ceramic insulator.. my guess is incompatibility or low grade grease was used and the heat broke it down

If you must insist, this is the only boot grease i would ever use: Beru ZKF01 / 0890300029.
Beru plugs are notorious for bonding to boots because the ceramic is extremely glossy, and most boots will grip onto glossy surfaces very well.

Yeah I'm thinking since I put it inside the rubber boot the grease went everywhere including the metal tip of the plug. Next time I just won't even bother with it
