Carrier bearing is getting done tonight and new guibo is ready to go in when it gets reassembled. I was suspecting those also, but now I am pretty sure it is the CV joints in the front axles. I should find out this weekend!

Got to work on the car a fair amount this weekend. There is good news and there is bad news. Good news is that I am 99% sure I found my drivetrain vibration and I also got the rear end all back together. The bad news is that there is .060" play in the front output shaft bearings of the transfer case.
It looks like I will be yanking the transfer case and doing a rebuild. There wasn't any bad bearing type noise yet, so I am hoping there is no damage to major parts. There is a video on youtube and it actually looks pretty simple (I have done a lot of major rebuilds in the past). I think I will replace all of the bearings and leave the clutches alone. I will make a decision when I am able to look at them. I will do the metal worm gear upgrade also. Unfortunately this means quite a bit more downtime. It is probably time to get that SLK55 AMG as a 3rd vehicle!

is that play axial or radial? so only change you made this weekend was guibo and support bearing? took care of vibration or you suspect its the t-case bearing?

Play is not axial, that is just slop in the chain assembly. Play is both vertical and horizontal, so it is bearing play. I found this issue before I finished putting the car back together, so there was no point reinstalling the exhaust and driveshaft just to take it back out again. I don't want to drive it and cause more damage. There is a very audible click when pressing the front driveshaft output up and down and you can feel it move also. Maybe I will shoot a little video of it.

Sorry, I am in Florida and got hit pretty good by the hurricane. Not only that I managed to injure myself making hurricane shutters. Almost healed up and hoping to get back after it next weekend. I did pick up the SLK55 AMG, so not as high of a priority. It is funny that our AMG is our lowest HP vehicle, LOL. Still fun with a big V8 stuffed in a tiny roadster.
