FRM3 Module - how to code angel eyes to be on all the time?
Hi guys
Can anyone tell me how to code my angel eyes and fog lights (as I have LEDs in them now) to be on all the time? I have a FRM3 module. I've messed around with some of the DRL options in ncsdummy but none make any difference Cheers guys ![]() |

Try setting the following values on the FRM3:
VERHALTEN_DRL_TFL_3R drl_s DRL_TFL_MIT_SL_1 aktiv DRL_TFL_MIT_SML_3R aktiv

I have some notes from when I did some coding on the AE's and Fogs. See if any of the below might do the trick.
AE no dimming. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=623634 PWM_RL_BL_1_FKT_SL = wert_01 That changes it to 9.7v. Fog Lights Auto Turn on with Headlights: NRFM NSW_FKT_PARKL = active NSW_FKT_SL = active DRL coding: To AE only http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=931405 In NFRM: Tagfahrlicht_ece_0 Aktiv Verhalten_drl_tfl drl_s (It was drl_h) Fog Lights to come on with the Low beams. Also in the Auto Position: PWM_NSW_PARKL wert_02 To have foglights on as DRL along with your AE (assuming you have AE set as drl) only, do the following in you NFRM module: DRL_TFL_MIT_NSW nicht_aktiv --> change to "aktiv" PWM_NSW_TFL wert_01--> change to "wert_02" This way, your fogs turn on as you drl along with your other drl lights (AE). It does not show on your cluster that they are on. When you move the switch to your lowbeams, they shut off (can be toggled one via the foglight button, like before) High Beams and Fog lights at the same time: Change to 'nicht_aktiv' to enable (NFRM): FL_UND_NSW_NICHT_GLEICHZ Allows fog lights to stay on when the high beams are flashed. Change to 'nicht_aktiv' to enable: NFRM: LH_UND_NSW_NICHT_GLEICHZ Front fog lights on when unlocking the car: NFRM ( Values: "hart_einschalten" - instant on; "soft_einschalten" - gradual; "nicht_aktiv" - disabled) WL_NSW

You also can change the voltage going to the angel eyes this increasing the brightness which can be done through NCS Dummy
I've changed mine to 13.7v which was actually already a preset option, but added a custom value anyway 13.7v is safe because it is the standard voltage for many modern cars and BMW for some reason have not done this. I have seen people on youtube go to 16v without any issues but 13.7v I believe gives about a 10-15% increase in brightness and really does show at night! |
