Mine was leaking at the intercooler connection - but not really bad considering it's on 125k miles. The top hose clip that clips onto the alloy pipe has been crimped from the factory. If you clean it up you will be able to see the join. I had to break the join with a flat blade. Used a new jubilee clip to replace. The ally pipe has a nice raised lip anyhow so helps retention. I thought I may have to cut a notch out of the steel collar of the replacement pipe (not OE BMW) as the intercooler end looks like it has a plastic locking point in addition to the steel push clip. The original one has some cut outs in the collar - but it just all slotted in ok and doesn't seem to be leaking though I've only done 100+ miles since. The replacement hose came with a new green twin lip o ring in the steel collar end, exactly same as OE. Didn't see any black one? |
