He had a positive space pass card on delta and I work there, so he picked me up at my house in his car, drove me to the airport. We flew to my credit union in Jacksonville and completed the transaction and flew back (first class, both ways!) and then I drove him home in my new car!

I agree, I wouldn't do it. Just saying it's also a private track, but those who go there regularly know insurance won't cover wrecks there.

Website is ambiguous on specific models. Press release does indicate some S and GTS variants:

The Launch plan includes access to eight model variants such as the 718 Boxster and Cayman S sports cars, plus the Macan S and Cayenne crossovers, for a monthly fee of $2,000.

The Accelerate plan includes access to 22 model variants for a monthly fee of $3,000. In addition to the vehicles in the Launch plan, it includes cars such as the Porsche 911 Carrera S sports car, the Panamera 4S sport sedan, the Macan GTS and the Cayenne S E-Hybrid.

At the very least, it would be nice to use at the end of a lease to drive every variant of 911 available and pick out what you really want. $3k for a month, changing cars daily would be kind of fun. I do assume they're all flappy paddle variants though, so not ideal for me.

I can only see this as being useful for people who don't want a longer commitment (leasing/purchasing) or would like to "demo" a vehicle for a longer period of time before they buy/lease.

Yeah, it's kinda like the automotive equivalent of renting a furnished house.

Too lazy to read up on the details. I'm assuming there's some minimum time commitment involved?

That seems like a terrible deal. Why wouldn't you just lease it. At least you would feel like the car is somewhat yours, even though it's still a lease and it's actually far from being yours. In this program, I'd just feel like I'm renting form Hertz all day long.

It?s funny that this thread was a panty knot for quite a few...

Yet it?s actually BMW?s version of Porsche Passport. We?ll be seeing this from all manufacturers rather soon.

It seems high but includes quite a bit more than just the cars.
