Dealer Cost Wheels
Does anyone know what the dealer markup on wheels is? The 2011 335d I purchased has three bad rims. After a ton of phone calls the BMW dealer agreed to sell me brand new replacements at their cost. That's all I could get them to do since it's not a CPO car. I don't trust them as far as I can spit. Regular price is around $350 / rim. The sneaky sales department will call me back with their cost tomorrow, but I'm thinking they will figure a way to make this work out better for them than me.
Thanks. |

I would have them cut you a check for replacement and you turn in your old the rims.
Or you exchange the rims for new ones that they order. To get them to agree, you pay for installation? Not sure what their costs are, but you can probably get an equivalent on eBay. GL |

Online cost was about $350, they will sell them to me for $297. I called my usual BMW parts guy, and told him what "cost" I was quoted and he said thats what he sees too. So without being on the inside, I have to assume that they are doing the right thing. They will also mount and balance the tires for me free of charge which will save me some $$$ and hassle. Good thing I got the car for a decent price.
