More than a home, the Autohaus is a car sanctuary. The entire ground floor is devoted to storing and displaying the owner's extensive automobile collection. A shifted second story allows for views of the garage below from behind a glazed wall in the living area. Custom-made sliding glass doors expand this room out to an exterior terrace, sheltered by the surrounding treetops. A cantilevered master bedroom extends over the driveway, creating a large carport to protect the everyday drivers.

I would assume that if he's trying to fill a void with the house and cars, eliminate the house and cars the void would still be there. So no worse off at least

When you see the ratio of square footage applied to cars vs. habitable space, I'd say he's happy. Very.
