Any and every BMW/e90 owner/driver should have one of these!!

A handicap parking tag!!! regradless how old you are and if your really handicap or not. Look how much room you get on both side of the car! It protects it for door dent and just any cars being close to it!! When a BMW dealer sale there car they should just hand you one!

Joking aside, I know that I've seen some people that have these tags and have absolutely no handicaps whatsoever, and yet I see them park in the spots because they have a hanging tag. How do they do this? Do any of the other users here do this?

Keep in mind that some of the people you might dismiss as "abusers", might actually have (non-visible) medical conditions that requires them to conserve their energies (MS, ALS, etc) and thus utilize a handicap spot...

But, I see your point, about the ever so often teenage-punk using his grandmothers placard, to run into a walmart to pick up a pack of cancer sticks...

Handicap parking is considered a status symbol among certain cultural and ethnic groups. Don't be like that. Why don't we leave those spaces for people who really need them.

I know someone who has their Mom's spare tag... and uses it when they can't find a "close" parking spot. I think that's just retarded.

My Grandfather has a placard but if I take him somewhere, I drop him at the door and then park in a regular spot. Then I get the car and pick him up at the door when we leave.

I saw some joke of a lady pull out of handicap spot at grocery the other night. As soon as she climbed into the minivan, she pulled the tag off the rearview mirrow and drove off. Rediculous.

Well, technically you aren't supposed to drive with tags on your mirrors. Most tags like that say "Remove because driving". But your point is still valid. It's amazing while I stand at work waiting for cars, these people come out of these cars in their 20/30s. They are obviously fine, yet still use it. I really think they need to make these spots wider because most of the time the people who park in the spots much have missed the whole how to park a car idea when they started driving.

I grew up in West LA and I can say that out of the 1000s of people that have handi tags out there, I can count on one hand the number of people that actually needed it - and as a physician - I can safely tell you that it's incredibly abused. Less than 10% are warranted, in my opinion. Interestingly, some markets now have 'expectant mother parking' which makes a great deal of sense to me. . . The handi placards are utterly and completely abused, unfortunately.

but seriously, a lot of people out there have one and don't really need it. but there is also (at least in california) a ridiculous amount of handicap parking spaces now-a-days and they're hardly filled.

The thing that piss me off about these is that in West Virginia people can get a tag for being to fat. My thought on this is if your that fat you ought to be forced to park at the end of the parking lot and walk.

on another note....this would not be the ideal parking spot at wal-mart. Nasty people and the 10 kids they had to get more welfare, parking their fat ass in the beat up van, parking half ass in the slot...no thanks I would rather park at the very end of the parking lot in the pouring rain/snow and walk....or just not go to wal-mart at all.
