safety recall 16v-071 no certified dealer on island

Has anyone in Hawaii got this recall done? also has anyone with a BMW on one of the islands that don't have a certified dealer do the recall? if so how did you do it? does it need to be shipped to a certified dealer or can a mechanic on current island perform the recall? any info will be much appreciated.

Dealership doesn't have any airbags yet for this recall. I had a lengthy discussion with one of the service advisors at Honolulu BMW and that was pretty much the end result of that conversation.

thanks for the respond on this. I was finally able to get my recall done 2 months ago. parts were finally ava. in Hawaii. Had car shipped out to dealer with all cost covered by BMW, even rental car and shipping for car. Awesome.
