Vorsteiner V35 hood question..

I am interested in buying a Vorsteiner V35 hood for my coupe, but I live in a very rainy area. Will water entering the hood vents cause any kind of issues within the engine bay?

Also, several people noted that they could feel the heat coming out of the vents when they put their hands over them, which is, of course, a good thing. I'm curious if anyone's had issues with the heat messing with the paint, or causing any warping of any sort?

same.. but since my car is no where near a daily driver and it doesn't see rain (3.5k miles in 9 months) i can't help you too much with the rain part.. but you can always seal the vents (JleviSW sells them already sealed as an option)...

The vents are not placed anywhere near where there would be damage from water exposure so you will be fine. I drive my 135 with a vented hood daily and our 335 with the V-35 hood daily. We park them in down pours and never had an issue.

Nope, don't worry about the rain. You'd be surprise how little gets in there despite driving in heavy rain for miles. Yeah, the heat escaping is def. a good thing and provides as a good hand warmer for cold days lol. No worries about it affecting the paint.

I could see being parked in the rain as being the much bigger issue than driving in the rain.
