07 late 06 build date, e60 n52, 101k. The only parts I bought during owner her was a pair of vanos solidnoids. Granted I changed a list of parts, I found that changing oil frequently is a key ingredient to this engine. She runs awesome, and found this car is so smooth, but so underpowered!

06 330i 6mt with 146,000 miles. Just did the water pump and a full coolant flush. Now my tensioner is bad. Already on order and a simple fix. Car runs great. Prior owner had a new clutch and flywheel put in 3k miles ago. Next will be a 3.64 diff swap. Although it does need new struts/shocks badly.

Checking in at 260k kms (161k miles). e90 330xi (06)

- Replaced faulty battery sensor. Car just wouldn't start one morning and there were no signs of any obvious issues with starting the car before that.

I've had it 3 years and have replaced water pump and thermostat 2 years ago and crank position sensor 1 year ago.

last weekend I replaced the power steering pump because it was going and the belt, belt tensioner, idler pulleys and spark plugs because I don't know when any of that was done.
And, since the tools were out: I swapped the stock air box for the aFe magnim force stage 2 cold air intake, swapped the stock intake manifold for the 3 stage BMW intake with the DISA valves, swapped the exhaust manifolds for the Active Autowerkes catless headers and flashed the DME with a Bimmer Performance Center tune.
Then I changed the oil.

Ever have any auto tranny issues? Have you done tranny flush or other preventive service?

280,215 km (174,117 miles) on my '07 328xi here.

It seems to have had a few things done over the years by the previous owner (I recently bought it), but nothing too major. It was on the original water pump, which was throwing codes during the PPI, so I immediately replaced that after purchase (I had a 10 hour, remote drive home, and didn't want to take any chances!).

I had to replace a window regulator a month ago. I know it's going to need some gaskets replaced at some point. I had them clean the engine and I've been watching the oil to see how bad the leaks really are. Otherwise, it seems to be in great shape.

I'll have to get one of the adapters for my iPhone one of these days. It would help to be able to see the diagnostics myself. I guess they are $150 or so? That seems like money well spent.

I also had an E30 325i. I drove it a good bit and only did a few minor repairs and maintenance. It was an excellent car to drive, but the E90 feels more refined and sporty. We sold it after when we moved from Ohio to San Francisco and could only deal with 1 vehicle... but I miss it! I think I sold it for only about $500 less than I paid for it. It was one of the best values in terms of cars I've ever owned. We'll see how the E90 does, but I think it has already cost more.

No idea, I bought the car from the BMW dealer with no records besides the BMW printout and the carfax. It was always serviced at the dealer I bought it from. I am almost certain that the trans has been either replaced or serviced though, as the car shifts as good as you can expect. I have owned multiple BMW auto's with over 100k and this one shifts better than all of them ever did.

Nice! Feels good to get to 200K doesn't it?
