It should be plug and play but you might need to change your VO(vehicle order) which is the list of features your car thinks it has. Ive never done one of these but it shouldn't be very hard

Sorry to hijack your thread but I’m also chasing some coding in Perth. I would like to remove the start up disclaimer on my Nav and also enable TV in motion. Does anyone have the gear to do this in Perth?

As long as you have the cable all you need is software which is free. It's not that difficult once the computer is setup. If you can send an email, you can do this.

I recommend the bimmergeek one. He does coding remotely as well. You can download the software from his site.
