Dealership damaged my new Honda Civic
I own a new 2007 Honda Civic when I need to make A-->B rounds for snowy winter conditions. Today, I took it to the dealership for servicing and when I got my car back I noticed that the rear bumper got damaged. Several deep scrapes down to the primer! I couldn't believe it so I spoke to the service dept guys and they denied the damage. It's just so pathetic, because the damage was documented by the dealership but they denied that it happened. I believe that they back up my car into a wall in the service area. They documented on the form that there was damage to my car when I took in the car - what a bunch of liars! Now, they're denying that it was them who did it! Truly pathetic and servicing guys are truly dishonest! Those service guys need proper driving lessons too.

Did you sign the paper that said there was damage when you brought it in? If so it's your own fault, if not then they are responsible.

I signed a form before they service my car but I didn't read every fine detail over. When I signed the form, they didn't actually look at my car so I'm sure it wasn't regarding damages before taking the car for servicing. The service was actually for a safety recall so it was just an inspection. I was about 3 minutes late for my appointment and two of the service guys was looking at me and they looked more like weren't too happy. Well, I gave them my keys and I went away. About an hour and fifteen minutes later, they told me my car was ready. I picked up my key and I went to my car and I noticed several deep scrape marks on my rear bumper down to the primer.
I am planning to talk to the service manager on Monday. If that fails, I will talk to the dealership manager. If that fails, I will talk to the president of controls the dealerships. If that fails, I will talk to Honda Canada. Without a doubt, I know it was caused by the dealership and it is so sad that people are so dishonest these days. |

No, they said, "Sorry, that it happened, but it's not our responsibility, B.S." I'll be taking to upper management, and if all that fails, I'll be talking to Honda Canada. |

Snow tires would be a lot cheaper than an 07 civic and make your car handle better than your civic in the snow but to each his own. If you wanted a snow beat why wouldn't you get something awd? Anyway about the bumper I would talk to the manager of the dealership about it.

On Monday, I spoke with the manager and he said that the service guys didn't damage the car whatsoever and he said that the dealer wouldn't pay for the damages. Well, I'm really fed up so I told him I will never go back to the dealership for any servicing anymore.

The head manager at the dealership called me today. He said that he will offer me half of the deductible for the repair of the damage. Well, that's quite B.S. huh? I will have to call him up tommorow and I will have to tell him that I will not accept the offer and the dealership will have to pay 100% of the deductible for my insurance. BTW, Honda Canada called me about 1 hour later asking me if the problem was resolved. I told them, "No."
