Code radio to hi fi
Hi all... I just installed an alpine kit in my e90 325i lci. and although it made a huge difference it doesn't seem very well balanced.. treble is pretty harsh and some bass frequencies are pretty bad.. all forums are telling me to code it to hi fi which will make an even bigger difference. More balanced sound.. just wanting to know if anyone can code my professional I drive head unit from stereo to hi fi? I called bmr and they said $50 to do it but they need my car there all day as they are flat out.. I live too far and am unable to leave the car there all day.. is there anyone in Sydney that can do coding? I am in the Campbelltown area.. of course I am willing to pay what bmr said they would charge me.. cheers

Ok, for anyone interested, I got bimmergeeks to code my head unit to hi fi.. he did it remotely.. he also upped the wattage on my angel eyes, not that it made a difference. I have the led abgel eyes, so that could be why they are not brighter, I don't know... anyway he charged me $45US for the coding and was done in around 10 mins... as for the results... it does sound a little better. No more harsh treble tones and bass has improved a little.. no more loud gongs/pdc/navigation... the only real downside is that volume is reduced a little.. I have some songs that are recorded at lower volume and now they don't go as loud as it used to before the codling was done... I like my music loud at times and feel a little disappointed about that.. don't get me wrong it's still a fair bit louder than what the base
System produced.. the bass is still nothing to call home about.. I guess you can't expect much from a 6 inch sub/mid... if anyone knows a place in Sydney that can add a boxed sub to my current set up please pm me.. cheers |
