CF Mirror Question

What is your guys opinion on carbon fiber mirrors? I have a 2012 alpine white 335i e92 m sport package and am considering getting the mirrors wrapped in gloss carbon fiber. Thought about buying the caps from BMW but they are way too expensive.

Opinions?

Also has anyone had experience with vinyl wrapped mirrors and can attest to how durable they are / do they peel off easy?

Just wrap it with 5D CF, dont get matte if fugly, probably take you 30mins per side if you are new to it.

I wraped mine in black , held up really strong for two years. I just took it off cause I bought painted gloss black ones. Then i realized I liked the body color mirrors so.....If any one wants black mirrors p.m me . Not sure which gloss cf vinyl you are planing on using but alot of them are two ply. The top one being a gloss ply might come loose when exposed to the elements.

Don't wrap it in cf because the pattern will distort anlot bc that part requires a lot of vinyl stretching
Either wrap in black
Paint black or get lci mirror covers i found them on ebay for 100ish
I think ecs tuning might have it too
And amazon as well

Yeah I wouldn't wrap in CF for the reasons above, but I bought used Auto technik ones from a member and they look great on an alpine white car

A buddy of mine has his wrapped in 5D or whatever high gloss CF.

Matches really well with his real CF splitters. So far held up 1.5 years.
