FBO Max Reliable Daily BHP?
For a FBO car with the DCT transmisson running 93 oct
Would you say 400whp was an acheivable reliable daily number? What would you guys say is the maximum reliable daily bhp at the crank or wheels for a daily driver? I want more power but not so much at the expense of reliabllity that the car is in the garage every 5 minutes Thanks |

On 93, I think 400 whp is probably the absolute most you could see, on a very friendly dyno. I'd say max 'safe' i.e., without riding the knock sensor and always on edge -you'd probably tap out around 380ish.
On E40 or E50 a good 50 - 75whp more. |

Since your in the UK, your probably better off going meth injection. But i agree full bolton with custom tune will probably net you 380whp at most or 460 crank hp. I would go FBO and custom tune and call it a day. Of course data log, just to make sure everything is running correctly. |

There are guys with 700HP stock motors. Albeit not the most longevity pushing that much power in comparison. As a street driven, practical, reliable car, 450-500WHP all day on this platform with a proper tune and set up. Typical FBO makes around ~400WHP

If you're doing turbos, then yes; otherwise put the money towards an LSD. Lack of an LSD is the cars Achilles' heel. This way you'll have the handling to match the performance.

400whp with full bolt ons on pump 91/93 octane is pretty normal.
500whp with a big single turbo on 91/93 octane is pretty standard.

i am running FBO, inlets, outlets and meth plus a few other things with a custom tune. I plan to eventually upgrade to stage 2 turbo's, but still i run my map 6/3 for max power then switch to map 1 for daily cruising to preserve the health of the turbo's.
You dont always need to keep your car running the max power it can, no point racing red light to red light |
