Update: The used FRM from ebay worked perfectly and I didn't even have to code it (not that I know how - yet).
Driver's window and blinkers work and no more codes about bad bulbs. However the Xeon lights don't raise/auto-level yet; perhaps a different module controls that and/or FRM does need to be coded to support that feature.

I just had all of these problems yesterday with the lighting malfunction code, dash saying door open, windows not rolling down etc.. I turned the car off and restarted it and everything was fine. Should I go ahead and replace my module now or could it just have been a hiccup in the system?

The E90 footwell module is located on the left (driver's side) kick panel.
To remove it: 1. Disconnect the battery (!) if you are removing the module. 2. Remove the under-dash panel. IIRC these are T15 torq. There are two or three small electrical connectors to be disconnected. 3. Snap off the lower door sill. 4. Unscrew the hood release lever. 5. Remove the one screw on the kick panel. 6. Remove the kick panel; it has one snap connector. 7. The footwell module is now visible. It has three many-wire electrical connectors. 8. You should be able to remove the two connectors closer to you - rotate the connector lever on the top to the side; it requires minimal force. You have to depress a bit of plastic to let the lever rotate. 9. Remove the bottom screw holding the module; the top screw is hard to reach, but I didn't have to remove it. 10. Wiggling front/back pull down on the module; mine came loose easily. 11. Remove the last electrical connector. I first performed steps 2-7 to access the module and get its part number. I found the exact same part number on ebay for $128. It worked perfectly without any coding. I suspect that if you get a slightly different part number it may require coding. Good luck.

Were you able to solve this problem? I got the error code even before I changed my battery. I replaced new one and registered it but still lights still not responding.

Everything worked after I installed the new Footwell module and reset the codes. Still working a year+ later when I sold the car. These modules are readily available on ebay in the $200 range; they are known to be sensitive to electrical spikes, like jumping a dead battery.
