NYS Tint Inspection Help!

Did not know there were new tint laws in NYS for inspections. Went to the inspection shop the day my inspection expired and of course was turned away due to tints. Can someone PM me a shop that would overlook the fact that i have tints (obviously will tip)? Also does anyone know if lowering my windows and taking the fuse out will solve this issue? I know its not mandatory to have operating windows (i.e. jeeps) so i think this might work as well.
Thanks in advance
Over Regulation...
Edit: You actually do need operating windows now..... according to the new tint laws. So fuse removal is a no-go. Any info on lenient shops is highly apprecaited! PM please!!!!

There's been much discussion about this all across the internet, specifically concerning NY. As far as I know, "breaking" your windows will get you a fail under the new tint law.

You might be out of luck.

Brooklyn BMW passed my car, but I only have Llumar 50 time all around except for windshield (70).

SUVs are a different issue entirely.
Inop windows must be in the up position from what I understand

No shop is going to risk getting nailed with a $5k fine..

just take the windows off from a diy video on youtube and then pay to put it back its not worth the hassle and your cars already out of inspection time so youre risking a $65 ticket if not more

A guy I work with bought a Maserati from Chicago that had tints, and he needed a NYS inspection. He called a local shop in Syracuse to get them removed. They quoted him a price, but added that they have a special deal where they will remove the tints, you go take the car for inspection, then they put on new tints.
