Key fobs totally inop, what gives??

Both of my key fobs totally stopped working yesterday. I had disconnected the battery to remove the airbag (changed out the steering wheel for a new one), and removed the center console trim to wrap it in brushed aluminum vinyl (which meant disconnecting the iDrive controller and removing the shift knob). Upon reinstallation, both of my Comfort Access keys have totally stopped working. None of the buttons, nor door handle touch functions, nor keyless go work at all. I can only use the mechanical key to lock/unlock the car, and have to insert the key in to the dash to start it. Is this normal when the battery is disconnected? Do the keys need to be re-initialized or something like that? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Whats your battery voltage like now at rest?
I have had my battery disconnected a couple of times and had no problems and I have comfort
access.

Possible blown fuse to the CA module maybe.

From the Bently manual(I only have the gas car manual)
For the gas car it lists Fuse F61 as the CA fuse it
also mentions reseting the module my disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.
The CA module is located over the battery area on
the right side of the car maybe you pulled a cable out when you were doing stuff in the battery area.

I verified that all the fuses related to the central locking and CA system are in good shape, and there's nothing outwardly wrong with the CA module located in the trunk. I don't really want to take this thing to the stealership, but I may have to. Ugh.

and running in this situation.

You made sure all the cables connected into the CA were well seated?
