HPFP Replacement
Given shadow codes I have been getting lately (2BDE) and the fact that my 2011 335i has over 250,000 kms on it today, I am contemplating replacing my HPFP.
My question is do we have part options for HPFP's or do we have only the not so greatly designed OEM one to select from? Thanks

I bought my car about a year ago and before I did, I check on part prices for things that are fairly common to break and they were near $330. Fast forward to a couple of months ago and it was $800 for new and $340 for reman. Looking now and they are over $1000 for the new pump!!! I found mine at FCP Euro which comes with a lifetime replacement, but they appear to be backordered on the reman pumps. |

Yes, I am still on original pump. Have never had any issues with this car and am a very spirited driver. Keep on top of proactive maintainence. Only issues thus far have just been normal wear and tear.

This is pretty sad that we have zero options outside of what was mentioned here.

I replaced my HPFP a couple months ago with the reman one, part # 13517616446. The best price I found was eEuroparts. Their site says they have one in stock at the moment and they're running a coupon code.
https://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/493...e-13517616446/ One slight negative is they give you a shipping label for your core return but deduct the return shipping cost from the refund they give you. So on the site it says you get a $55 core refund but with $10.99 for return shipping the refund ends up $44.01. Not a huge deal but just factor that into your total cost. |

What's the difference between the two part numbers, besides the huge price difference?
I need a new HPFP too. Have had shadow codes for ages, and it put the car into limp mode for the second time today... Mine is covered by an aftermarket warranty so if the newer part is better I'll ask them to get it. |

I have been have issues with half engine light and reduced power mode. Since it started I was getting longer cranks on startup. Today I went to start it and it would crank for 3-4 seconds and just die. Took about 10 times before it finally started. Does this sound like a hpfp issue? I get code p2c01. Just looking for advice before I order a new hpfp
